OUR TINY STORY
HOW IT ALL STARTED..
As a recent transplant to Portugal and Ericeira, I (Malcolm) chose to start this business with the ambition to integrate into the area’s vibrant events scene.
After leaving a job in carpentry, I set out to build this custom teardrop trailer. With inspiration from builders in the US, I designed this one-of-a-kind trailer, sourced all materials, and built everything completely from scratch. In addition to learning a lot along the way, I can now proudly display this project as the centerpiece of my tiny business.
In the next stage of this journey, I now have the chance to share my work with the community. With a continuing dedication to learning and improvement, I aim to provide an amazing user experience, and foster meaningful partnerships with industry professionals.

The name ‘The Tiny Tap’ comes from a broader dream of mine, to help foster a vibrant and resilient local community through small scale entrepreneurship, shared spaces and projects, and intra-community reliance. In a world where multinational institutions have a big effect on our lives and our environment, I believe we need to lean on our neighbors to develop human first partnerships, fostering local resilience at a TINY scale.
